Dublin based, Scattered Ashes released their debut single, Love Is Not An Option in late 2020. For me it's an instant addition to my regular rotation and a sign of what's to come from this exciting four piece. Their sound is driven by a pounding drum and bass mix, overlaid with intricate guitars that all works really well, respecting each other's space in the song for the most part, before coming together to create a thumping chorus led by a really cool vocal track that just reminds you of Joy Division, in the best possible way. It's definitely one of those tracks that you can listen to over and over and never get tired. You hear something new every time and that's such a good sign. Can't wait for more!
